The Sultan of Kelantan and the former beauty queen reportedly held a wedding reception for family and friends in Moscow, Russia on 22 November 2018, when the former was still serving as Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia. He abdicated the throne on 6 January this year.

To date, no official statement has been made by the government nor the Istana Negara in regards to the marriage.

Adding to the extravagance painted by the set of photos, the wedding video offers a wider perspective of the gorgeous decorations and wedding dais.

The celebration was made even merrier with stage performances by dancers, acrobats, magicians, as well as popular Russian singers Irina Dubtsova, Polina Gagarina, and Timati.

There’s also a sweet message from the royal groom to his new bride at the end of the video.

The wedding, shot by Svadberry Wedding Agency, won the ‘Wedding of the Year’ award in a recent awards ceremony honouring Russia’s best event planners.

According to the awards show’s official website, it was the first time “a representative of the highest echelon of a foreign government” was held in Russia.

The wedding celebration, which took place at the Barvikha Concert Hall, was organised in less than two months.
