In conjunction with the 45th anniversary of Sanrio’s iconic character Hello Kitty, UNIQLO will be releasing a new collaborative collection to mark the milestone.

The new collection is a selection of pyjamas and graphic t-shirts for women and girls which is set to be released in Malaysia on 1st July 2019.

What do you remember of your first Hello Kitty? The special Kitty your family bought you. The lovable Kitty that slept beside you every night. Hello Kitty 45th Anniversary wishes to bring back those sweet memories you share with Kitty,” read the description on UNIQLO.

The collection of Hello Kitty t-shirts were already launched in UNIQLO Malaysia earlier this year, but only one design is available for the adults.

Now more new t-shirt designs for the adults as well as pyjamas have been added into the Hello Kitty 45th Anniversary collection. The price for adult tees cost at RM39.90 while the children t-shirts priced at RM29.90.

Here are the new Hello Kitty t-shirt designs for adults which were already launched in Europe.

For the new collection, there are a total of 6 t-shirts and 5 pyjamas for adults and 5 new t-shirts for children.

Remember a few years, an Indonesian designer demonstrated her love for Indonesia’s home-grown brand Indomie and created a purse inspired from the instant noodle?

Well now, you can pair off the purse with this Indomie-inspired Nike Air Jordan sneakers, which were designed by another Indomie lovers called Mr. Simply Custom, a 23-year-old sneaker artist from Indonesia who currently based in Singapore.

The colorful fan design of the Air Jordan 1 Yin Yang took the social media by storm with its bright colors consisting largely of red, yellow and green the 3 main colors featured on Indomie’s fried noodle plastic wrap.

Officially dubbed as the Jordan 1 Indomie Custom, the kicks also feature Nike’s iconic swoosh logo, Indomie logo and a text that read “Micin Generation”, with “Micin” stands for monosodium glutamate aka MSG.

According to The Jakarta Post, the text is also a reference to the popular internet meme that pokes fun at the millennial’s’ affinity for Indomie’s liberal use of MSG in its dry seasoning powder.

Mr. Simply Custom is the online alias of Jonathan “Jonas” Gustana, an Indonesian university graduate based in Singapore who was inspired to design the Indomie-themed sneakers from a Photoshop photo he saw online.

“For the Indomie custom design, I was actually inspired by a Photoshop rendition posted by @arifwhy on Instagram a week ago. I merely brought his design to life,” Jonas told daily, adding that he asked @arifwhy’s permission to use the design.

“I’ve received orders from people around the globe who are familiar and obsessed with Indomie, including those living in the United States, Thailand and Singapore,” he said.

Though the shoes are not really for sale, Jonas said that he will be creating 20 Jordan 1 Indomie Customs for sneaker heads and fans of Indomie instant noodle.

For its collaboration, UNIQLO has always aim to create products with global designers and lifestyle icons whose ideas and way of thinking can bring UNIQLO and people from all over the world together. There is no doubt (pun intended) that hijabi fashion icon Yuna has a great fashion sense that not only stylish and trendy but also modest and humble at the same time.

The 32-year-old singer-songwriter recently revealed on her IG story that her fashion sense is inspired by the ultimate style icon Gwen Stefani, especially the time when she was in 90s rock band, No Doubt.

“I love her style now too but 90’s Gwen was everything,” Yuna wrote when a fan asked her where she get her fashion inspiration.

After the revelation, we can now definitely see a lot of Gwen Stefani’s style in Yuna’s clothing especially the plaid and leopard print styles which were Stefani’s signature looks.

Stefani is a legitimate style icon who previously received the Style Icon Award at the first People Magazine Awards in 2014, so it is only natural that Yuna look up to the fashionista and take inspiration from some of her iconic styles.

Yuna is considered to be one of the first Malay muslims who started the modern hijab and jilbab trend in Malaysia. She is also one of the first who made the turban style famous in the country.

Despite breaking into the international music scene, Yuna stays true to her Islamic faith by dressing modestly, but also manages to look chic and fashionable at the same time.

Uniqlo Malaysia has just launched a new line of exciting t-shirts y’all!

In conjunction with their UT Wear Your World event, visitors can also check out their pop-up exhibition at Ground Floor of Mid Valley Megamall from now till this Sunday (28th April 2019)

The 2019 UT collection has more than 1000 shirts with artwork from artists both legendary and contemporary. The latest UT collection, which is being showcase at Mid Valley’s pop-up exhibition, includes:

Marvel Studios and Adidas Basketball are joining forces to release a new line of basketball sneaker collection for its “Heroes Among Us” campaign.

In conjunction with the release of “Avengers: End Game”, the Marvel x Adidas Basketball collection introduces 5 special shoes, inspired by some of our favorite superheroes as well as 5 basketball stars.

The campaign sees NBA and WNBA athletes James Harden, Damian Lillard, John Wall, Candace Parker and Tracy McGrady channelling iconic Marvel characters Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain America, Captain Marvel and Nick Fury, respectively.

During the weekend, Twitter user Abdulah Hafiz Ismail (@hafyziskidnosys) posted a thread comparing Yuna’s fashion looks alongside delicious Sarawak layer cakes that matches her outfit. The result is amazing.

The unique yet hilarious thread has since gone viral on Twitter, garnering over 9000 retweets and 8000 shares. The Malaysian songstress was compared to a series of different flavored Sarawak layer cakes. These tasty desserts aren’t just colorful but they come in various shades and patterns.

The memes are of course inspired by the recently music video by Yuna, titled “Forevermore“. The amazing visual was directed by her husband Adam Sinclair and was shot entirely in Malaysia. The video didn’t just capture the Malaysian culture and also showed off the pop singer’s wardrobe choices.

It’s no wonder people are jumping on board. Yuna’s sweet vocals and the yummilicious layer cakes are a winning combo, no?

It didn’t just stop there. Inspired by Hafiz, other Twitter users also chimed in by posting their side-by-side comparisons. The results are just as good.

Be honest, how many of us are able to afford a BMW sedan at this point in our lives? In fact, most of us are still struggling to make ends meet with our average cars but for this 12-year-old girl in Thailand, she could already afford to buy her very own luxury car. And she can’t even drive it yet!

Natthanan first shot to fame a few years ago when she started going for professional makeup courses at seven years old after she found her passion for makeup and videos of her makeup tutorials would be uploaded on social media. She gained a large following and went viral, with BBC doing a feature about her in 2018 as well. Wow!

She became even more famous after that as she was selected to be one of the makeup artists to work at London Fashion Week 2018 and made her name in a truly prestigious event. Currently, she has over 800,000 followers on her Facebook page and was one of the youngest makeup artists to actually work at London Fashion Week 2018. 

Now, the precocious girl is turning 12 and for this year’s celebrations, she has decided to buy a BMW sedan as a birthday present for herself. In her post, she writes, “Happy birthday to me. I will be 12 years old this year. I am very grateful for everything I have so far and I’m thankful to my fans for supporting me. Thanks for all the well wishes, I wish everyone the same as well!’

Netizens were amazed by Natthanan as many of them said that they couldn’t even afford a luxury car even though they were in their twenties now. Some of them also shared about their lives when they were 12 years old and said that they were still playing with marbles or dolls at that time. Same, to be honest! A few others congratulated the young girl and praised her for chasing after her passion.

Wow, that’s a really amazing achievement for someone so young! Looks like she’s on to bigger and better things in the future!
