Three people were recently fined RM700 each for travelling in one car despite the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) rule
CMCO standard operating procedures (SOPs) implemented last month state that only two people are allowed per car when leaving home for groceries or to get other essentials.
Bernama reported that the individuals, two Myanmar nationals and one Bangladeshi, were fined by the Magistrate Court yesterday, 3 November.
If they fail to pay the fine, they are required to serve 14 days in jail
According to the report, the individuals were stopped at a roadblock on Jalan Sentul on 20 October.
They pleaded guilty according to Regulation 10 of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Regulations (Measures within the Local Area of Infection No 8) 2020.
